Bridal portrait sessions are a southern tradition. If you didn’t know that, you could have guessed the moment Lauren stepped out of the bridal suite at Carnton Plantation in Franklin, Tennessee. Along with the well-wishes from those that passed by, several people asked if they could take Lauren’s photo because, they “just don’t do this kind of thing in the north.” But they should. I think every bride should plan on having a bridal session before her wedding. It’s two whole hours to spend just on bridal portraits – much more time than you’d get on a wedding day – and get excited about what a beautiful bride you’ll be.
When Lauren and I talked about what she had in mind for her bridal session, I knew that Carnton Plantation was the perfect place for her. We were worried that the storms might force us to rescheduled, but we ended up with the most beautiful overcast afternoon. Here are just a few of my favorites:
Lauren, I’m so glad you decided to do a bridal portrait session! I can’t wait for you to see the images from your wedding day!
